THE EIGHTH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF
THE ASIAN ASSOCIATION OF CATHOLIC PHILOSOPHERS
December 11- 15, 2008, Chung Yuan Christian University, Taiwan.
CALL FOR PAPER
Theme: The Role of Asian Christian Thinkers in the Global Age
AACP is a NGO and fully independent association organized by the Asian Catholic philosophers in 1991, with an ecumenical spirit and aims at dialoguing with Asian cultures. It is open for all Asian and non-Asian thinkers, regardless of profession, politics, religions, races and sexes. Previous meetings have been held in Taipei, Manila, Nagasaki, Seoul, Chiba, Bangkok and Bandung. The 8th AACP International Conference is jointly organized by Catholic philosophers and Christian philosophers of the West and the East. Muslim, Buddhist, Confucian, Taoist and socialist scholars are heartily welcomed to participate and to dialogue with Christian colleagues.
This theme is proposed to suit our ecumenical spirit. A dialogue among Asian Christians and non-Christians, as well as among Asian thinkers and Western thinkers on such theme is strongly suggested.
